tiny house on my mind
I seem to have a nasty headache out of nowhere.
Dan pointed out that the smart car in the tiny house design is more squished than it would allow for real. He's right. The thing doesn't quite fit the way I've got it and it's too far forward into the salon, resulting in coming too close to the wheel housing on the trailer.
However, I'm a bit confused about that, the wheels on the model may not represent the trailer itself when we get it. But there's got to be a specific clearance for shock travel too. Some trailers, though, really don't need more than a couple inches of headroom into the floor around the wheels, while others are as high a well as you see on buses and vans! Ultimately, it'll come down to what we can buy and we can't get a trailer till i find the courage to list the koi pond and deal with the replies (pray I get some).
On the up side, if I sell it that money just might finance the actual trailer purchase.
So I am thinking it might be necessary to give up my little deck on the back, but then I realized I could make a replacement deck by using the "garage door" as a ramp/deck plate. How it'll raise and lower is not certain but making one strong enough to drive a smart car across really won't be that hard. Also again, I'm really wanting an electric winch for the car. it's got an eye bolt for towing on the front and a winch is a far more controlled pull than driving it can be. The car just can't get as much low power torque up a ramp at a steady pace! So you just go to those auto places that customize trucks and purchase a winch. mount that just under the salon floor so it's out of the way and the wire comes out via access panel so you can do a controlled ascent into the house over the reinforced insulated door with small windows inset.
yes I can! Enough blog writing, I'm going to sit down with my keyboard and outline the electrical system's end points. I have to list all the electrical outlets, motors, pumps, lights, and basically everything we might want to use and which room it goes in and if I know, where in that room. Each must also be listed as 110v or 12v so I can figure out that system. Lighting needs to be doubled with both v settings because I won't give up my 110v chandelier! LOL ironically, it's loaded with LED bulbs, each one having it's own little transformer to downgrade the 110v feed to it's needs. I wish I could just do that whole business with a power panel and just have the LED in the bulbs! Nevermind, those bulbs will outlive me so I'm not replacing them. I've bought over 30 $40 LED bulbs for this tiny house, both chandelier and other styles and they're good for so long it may as well be life.
wow, did the dishes there so I could relax a bit. Now I'm hungry, still haven't posted this or started my systems design.
Life keeps getting in the way of living.
