He's always using the word "retard" and I keep trying to correct that behaviour. He doubles down when I tell him it's a bad word. He insists he's never heard such a thing. I try and explain why it's bad (thus giving him the attention he's seeking) and he says "sounds like it's quite effective." Like at hurting other people, yeah buddy, it's a hurtful word.
