Recognizing a face on tv

Another thing you can't just talk about with other people. Years ago when the internet was still wild and the police weren't around yet, you could find anything.  Anything digital anyway. If you wanted to know what a human looked like smeared out on the highway, the internet could show you. If you were curious about what exactly is kiddie porn, you could find it without ICE, which didn't yet exist, tracking your IP.   which is what I did. I looked it all up. BDSM, snuff porn, kids, beastiality. Etc.  I think I would not recommend this, the images don't leave your memory.  At any rate, one kid porn stuck with me because the child was expressing such voluntary joy and participating that it really created a dissonnance in my head and helped me to understand why the abusers are able to ignore the damage their doing. The kids hide it, and being resilient, seek joy in whatever situation they are in.
Well thing is, you see, the kid in the video was just on the tv today on Dr. Phil, talking about her childhood.  I recognized her face right away. I can'ts tand not to jump around shouting "I saw that, I saw evidence, I saw her being abused, and he distributed the video too!'  But her abuser is locked up for over a century (won't live to reach any kind of parole hearing) and she's on to the rest of her life.
What the video didn't show was how stoned and drunk he kept her. It didn't show the beatings she got when she wasn't enthusiastic enough.
Well that's it, I just had to say I recognized her. And I can't tell her or go to the show site and say something, because it would cause her unnecessary pain to be reminded or told that video was released online.  I certainly hope it's never sent to her, but it's unlikely as kiddy porn is so toxic to even have so much as a picture in your cache these days, can lead you permanently punished.

End of January, good news mostly

I feel so solitary tonight. Like, I want to just talk about things but there's not really an outlet. I went to the knitting group for the 3rd week. I was proud to show off my socks but they were ignored, except maybe for the dude who soon after went from sitting beside me to sitting across the room and table from me. Swiftly, much less. why I do my own hair

I booked myself in for a hair appointment yesterday.  I thought it went well, although during some points I sensed she'd turned on me.  However, she was too professional to be obvious about it so I wasn't able to know if it was paranoia or instinct, you know?  I mean, normal humans would sense these things clearly, I'm just left with a vague uncertainty I can't trust.  I can't ask anyone about it as they'd always lie.  Humans always lie.  That's the problem.  They lie, and they expect you to do the same and I just can't. does anyone care?

"Meltdowns can take the form of screaming, crying, physical aggression or it can be a shutdown where there is no speaking or activity. In either situation the person with ASD is in tremendous distress. Their safety and emotional stability should be the top priority above all other considerations." I saw this video of a kid having a tantrum and his dog interfering to comfort him. It was titled "dog helps asperger's kid with meltdown."  It was exactly the kind of emotional meltdown I suffer all too frequently. It left me weeping.  Why?  Because everyone seemed to give a damn about the kid's emotional distress.  I've never experienced that.  When I hit emotional distress it's always been a case of "oh there she goes again, taking over the room with dramatic hysterics.  Get her out of here and make sure she regrets it."
