My faith

We are part of God. We came from and will return to It. When we are with it, we know what It knows, for we are they are they are us and we are all one. But Life, for that is another name we have, thirsts to know itself. To speak and hear it's own story. And that is a very long story which contains every story ever told. If it can be, it shall be, and so every life is a part that must be played. The script may be improv, but the nature of events and characters and choices shall not.  For each and every life, however tragic, that can possibly happen must happen.  Each of us plays a role. When we've done wrong, we were part of someone's experience who was slated to have that experience and when we've been harmed, it was also time to feel harm. Or time to feel victory. Or joy or sorrow or shame or pride.  Depending on the story and the part you've chosen before birth. it's yours now. YOu aren't that part, that part isn't you. No more than an actor is the role, even if they are method acting and stay in character.  But, as can happen with those actors, your you-ness, that part we love to call a soul, that can be so subsumed by the experience, that it comes home wounded.  It can be so uplifted as to come home with healing juice and heal the collective we. That part is what you're working on. Especially those of you who are wounded. How to heal those wounds. When you heal yours, that knowlege passes to all life and becomes available as random ideas throughout the domain of the living! So by healing your pain, and being able to love anyway, you teach your learned skills to all mankind and beyond and it heals others likewise.  That happens on a different level.  One we cannot measure with instruments or obvious senses. One we cannot prove beyond doubt.  The realm of faith, conjecture, disbelief and magic. It is where shamans operate. where poets dream. where the enlightened walk whenever this world drags them down.  We are here to live this life, we have to do it.  It's that important and it's beyond our control now. But we do improvise the script and can change the end of the story. We take back what we learn in our hearts, if not our minds.  This is my belief.  It's mostly aligned with the philosophy of buddhism but I also believe that through shamanism we can also affect ourselves, each other, and the story's direction. I believe it includes communicating with the non-human life forms and the "mainframe" of Life, the "back home" awareness. Which of course is tied in to all life.  I believe it is possible to hear the din at the heart of All, and to tune into portions of it, as a living being, as a shaman. I believe an enlightened person can mentally walk back into that central hub and understand and with his mind's eye, view, the whole thing. It won't look the same to everyone, some will have the same graphic language and come up with similar descriptions. Mine is a sorting chest for nuts and screws and such with clear plastic drawers, only it's fancy crystal and there's lives instead of fasteners.  One per drawer.  Shining like little stars. But it's like this metaspace where you retain personal cohesiveness and make choices as an individual, rather than melting into oblivion with Nirvana. Some will do just that. Others will spring fully aware in life to lead others to it. All possible ways that life can be lived. From the fly to the horse, the beggar to the king, and the tulip to the oak.  We are God, living Life, for the sake of knowing ourselves and learning how to Love all of it, even the ugly bits.
OMG, that's why I have that ugly bit that scares me so much but that I keep isolated and in check. I need to understand it's value and where it has value and love it for that. or heal what causes it, should it not be a true part of being alive.  So to you, reading this, feeling less than a saint, or less than fairly done by, remember, none of us deserve anything.  We're just taking on a role, but to play it well, we really have to wear it.
